A Brief Explanation Make a new image/white/add 2 layers/ name one top and one bottom/ copy one image to each layer/ click select none after pasting each image to the layer before pasting the next image to the layer/ use the slider and utilities on the right of the layers panel to change the images until you have the ghosted look you want/ Merge Flat/ Save As/...... Basically all you are doing is fading the top one which allows the bottom one to show through........ Detailed Directions 1..... Make a new image 102 by 116/ white/
press the "l" [as in layers] on the keyboard to open your layers palette 2.....click layers/ new/replace layers1 with bottom by typing in the layers1 box/click ok/ 3.....click layers/ new/replace layers 2 with top by typing in the layers2 box/click ok/ Your Layers Palette will Look Like the One Below
4..... Open
two images/copy the two above if you like/ take each image to 16 million colors 5..... Click on the word bottom in the layers palette to depress the bottom bar and make the bottom layer the active one.... 6..... Click the image you want on the bottom layer, (moon) / click edit/copy/ click the Image with your layers (white)/ click edit/ paste as new selection/ use the mover tool and arrange the image on your layer/ click select none.....
7..... Click on the word top in the layers palette to depress the top bar and make the top layer the active one.... 8..... Click the image you want on the top layer, (girl) / click the copy icon/ click the Image with your layers (moon)/ click the paste as new selection icon/use the mover tool and arrange the image on your layer/ click select none 9..... Click on the word top in the layers palette to depress the top bar and make the top layer the active one....
10 ..... From the right side of your layer palette click on the slider and drag to a setting between 40 and 60.... your top image will fade into the bottom image and give you a ghostly look..........
11..... click on layers/merge/all flatten/save as/give your file a name of your choice.....
12 ..... Open two images/copy the two above if you like/ take each image to 16 million colors (click 16 million colors icon or click colors/increase color depth/16 million)...... 13 ..... Click top image (lady)/click edit/ copy/ click background image (water)/ click edit/ paste/ as new layer/ slide the right slider to 62/ click layers/ merge/ merge all (flatten)/ click save as/ .....
14 ..... The First Image below was faded to a setting of 46..... The Second Image I applied colors/ adjust /brightness 0 contrast 35.....
